Flowing effortlessly through one another

Like ghosts.
The incessant trickle of rain
Filling a puddle.

You've carved yourself into my heart,
Patiently engraving every crevasse,
Deliberately, carefully smoothing the rough edges,
Polishing it with timeless memories
Of our shared life,
Sculpting the union of our souls,
Not trying to take up too much room,
Carving for yourself a space of your own,
Just big enough to hold you
In my heart.

Rage

I surrender, broken, into your spell
When twisted memories slice my head
And spills out all my dormant rage
Causing my broken heart to bleed.
I need to feel your calming touch
To rid this raging beast inside,
I need to release this howling fury
And let in all that's been denied.

Escape is such a desperate act,
An act that rage set into motion,
But I can't see which way to run
Through these windows of erosion.
I want to paint you into my dreams
Because you dwell deep in my heart,
And forget my rage as I sink into you,
With burning tears I will be clean.

A dark chasm opens its yawning mouth and it tries to swallow me whole as I fight its blackening advance into oblivion but it bears down on me so I run but I am going nowhere and I look behind me to see its gaping void whisper how hungry it is and horror fills my exploding heart as I fall into the black pit of quiet terror...
